The Future Industries Accelerator (FIA) has kindly offered to host our next EIDA event. Come along and hear about this State Government funded initiative, intended to help SA companies increase revenue and jobs through engagement with UniSA.
The Future Industries Accelerator (FIA) drives entrepreneurship, partnering and economic transformation. It provides an innovative model for effective and sustainable collaboration between universities and industry.
The Australian National Fabrication facility, South Australian node (ANFF-SA) is a world-class micro and nanofabrication facility providing access to more than $10 million of cutting-edge equipment and technical excellence in design, fabrication, and testing of microscale devices, with support from expert staff specialising in microfluidics, organic electronics, biomaterials, novel semiconductor materials and characterisation. The facility’s strengths include lab-on-a-chip technology, micro/nanofluidics, advanced sensing, functional coatings, and separation science.
ANFF-SA houses state-of-the-art photolithography, micromachining, hot embossing and bonding, micro-injection moulding, plasma etching, thin film coating, fluidic simulation, and advanced characterisation in ISO Class 5 & 6 clean room environments.
ANFF-SA’s facilities are open to industry and academic users and they offer professional training on their equipment or you can engage their expertise to perform research on your behalf to enable you to develop your ideas, create prototypes and characterise the outcomes.
Their technical staff are experienced working with confidential information and sensitive project material and able to deliver high-quality devices and samples on time and within budget.
Following the tours we will transfer to the Mawson Lakes Hotel for networking and refreshments. It’s also our first event for 2019 and a chance to hear more about the World Electronics Forum to be held in Adelaide in December 2019.
Meet Mark Saunders, FIA Program Manager in the foyer of building X (Future Industries Institute), on University Boulevard (on the western boundary) of the Mawson Lakes Campus (across from the Mawson Lakes Hotel). We recommend parking at the hotel to avoid paying and fines (for parking on the university grounds).
Cost $40 includes finger food and drinks.
Date and Time: Tue., 19 February 2019, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm ACDT
Location: Australian National Fabrication Facility – South Australia, Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia, Mawson Lakes, SA 5095
